Now promoted to IND (Immigration and Nationality Directorate) as Senior Director

It has been announced today that Home Secretary John Reid has appointed Stuart Hyde as a senior director of enforcement at IND (Immigration and Nationality Directorate).

The Home Office has been notified of the outstanding complaint against Hyde, currently with the IPCC.

The complaint against Stuart Hyde has been in the complaints system for over a year and was last pursued on 13/07/2006.

Mr Hyde said that although suspects may suffer distress after their arrest, there may be other factors that prompt them to take their lives. Their decision to download child porn images from the Internet in the first place may have been the result of deep-seated relationship or lifestyle problems, for example.
